The building will be extremely flexible, and it will be able to function as a “plug-in” for any international show, concert or sport event.
The arena will be designed so that organisers choose Copenhagen for prestigious international events, and so that they can set things up quickly. The arena will help ensure that audiences get the best possible experience at any event. The arena will have easy access, good facilities and ideal acoustics for the enjoyment of both audiences and performers.
The arena will supplement existing facilities and enable Copenhagen to offer the world even better and larger events.
Sport
The arena will be able to host events and championships for a large number of different sports, e.g. ice hockey, handball and table tennis. It will also be possible to host swimming competitions.
Music and entertainment
The arena will be constructed to hold concerts of all types of music. Cultural events such as shows will also be possible, for instance Disney on Ice, the Appassionata horse show and Cirque du Soleil.
